I tried to eat a healthy diet most days and I still do. 
My typical diet was something like this

&lt;b&gt;Breakfast&lt;/b&gt; - cereal with low fat milk, orange juice, 1 piece of toast. No coffee or tea.
&lt;b&gt;Lunch&lt;/b&gt; - A serve of salad with chicken/tuna. I would try and add as many vegetables to the salad. 
&lt;b&gt;Dinner&lt;/b&gt; - It was different each night, but I would try and eat meat and vegetable at least twice per week. Sometimes I would have a small pasta. I avoided fast-food as much as possible. 

I think the most important thing was water. I kept a water bottle with me at all times. I would drink over 2 litres per day, when I never used to drink water at all. 

I stopped drinking pop as it is full of sugar. 

Snacking included fruits and nuts.
